Screens and piano black trim scratch easily. How to protect them

New cars have more and more screens and more and more glossy black (piano black) trim. It looks stunning in the showroom, but these are among the most delicate surfaces in the car. The wrong cloth, a ring or a key left on the console is enough to cause the first scratches.

Why they scratch so easily

Piano black trim and display glass have a very glossy finish, where every micro-scratch shows up immediately in the light. Once they appear, the scratches cannot be fully removed, and the interior looks worn even on an almost new car.

The solution: interior PPF

Interior PPF is a clear film designed specifically for cabin surfaces. Its edges are extremely fine, almost invisible once applied, so the interior keeps its original (OEM) look.

Why computer-cut matters

At CDD Detailing we never use a blade inside the car. Every piece is computer-cut for your exact model. That means:

  • no risk of cutting or damaging the trim;
  • the film fits every screen and every trim piece perfectly;
  • the result looks factory-made: you cannot tell the film is there.

We are an accredited XPEL center, which means maximum precision and a safe installation.

What you can protect

  • the central display and the instrument screen;
  • piano black trim on the console and doors;
  • other glossy surfaces exposed to daily scratches.

A small detail that makes a difference in the long run. Prices start from 500 RON, depending on the car.
